Data processing terms
Last updated October 7, 2026
When you invite guests through the platform, you are the controller of their personal data and [Company legal name] is your processor. These terms form part of the terms of service and describe how we process guest data for you.
Subject and duration
- Purpose: hosting your event site and its features — invitations, replies, messages, playlist, photos, live feed, check-in and the reports in your admin.
- Data: guests' names, email addresses (if you add them), replies and answers, messages, songs, photos and videos they share, notification subscriptions, and approximate city and device type of each reply.
- Duration: while your event exists, then the retention period of your plan, after which the data is deleted.
Our commitments
- Process guest data only on your documented instructions — which are the settings and actions in your admin — and not for our own purposes.
- Make sure people with access are bound to confidentiality, and keep access to each event limited to its team and, when you ask for help, our support staff (recorded in your audit trail).
- Apply appropriate security: encrypted connections, signed sessions, encrypted service tokens, separation of each event's data, backups.
- Use only the sub-processors listed in the privacy policy, under terms that protect the data as these do, and tell you before adding new ones.
- Help you answer guests' requests (access, correction, deletion) and provide exports from your admin.
- Tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your event.
- Delete or return the data when the event ends, as described above, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Give you the information needed to show compliance, and allow reasonable audits on notice.
Your commitments
- Have a lawful reason to process your guests' data and tell them how it is used (each event site has a guest privacy page you can point them to).
- Add only guests and data you are allowed to use, and keep your team's access appropriate.
